Greener Grass

The grass is not greener on the other side. It’s greener where you water it, I’ve come to find out. Don’t think that someone else will be better, easier, more understanding- those are illusions that we create in our mind to run away from the root of the problem: ourselves. We don’t want to face the truth. We mask it by moving from one person to another, eventually only hurting ourselves in the end. We unwittingly repeat this process over and over- either realizing that we’re the ones at fault, or acknowledging it, but refusing to change.
